Our GPs are committed to providing high quality affordable care for all our patients. Your long-term wellbeing is our primary goal. We encourage you to contact us whenever you have any questions concerning your health and wellbeing. We believe that everyone should have access to health care; that is why we bulk bill all patients who hold a medical care card for any GP consultation. This means that there is no out-of-pocket cost for you. We set high standards in patient care that focus on you first, listens to your concerns, and note all the details. WOMEN'S HEALTH

Our doctors have a wealth of experience in dealing with women’s health issues including family planning and contraception, cervical screening (Pap tests), gynaecological concerns, mental health, preventative health and chronic disease management. We understand that some women may prefer to consult a female GP. If so, patients can make an appointment with Dr Hla Hla Wai or Dr Khaing Htun.

IMMUNISATIONS

Immunisations are a simple, safe and effective way to protect children from harmful diseases. We provide bulk billed paediatric and childhood immunisations. All children should be immunised against the major childhood diseases and a certificate of vaccination history is required for children to attend schools and childcare centres in Victoria. Please inform the staff when booking your child in for vaccinations so we can book a suitable appointment. We are able to record details of vaccinations through the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) to assist with family payments and school/childcare enrolment. We provide bulk billed influenza vaccines for all Australians aged 65 and over as well as for all pregnant women to prevent complications of pregnancy. People over the age of 65 are at high risk from influenza and its complications, with the majority of deaths from influenza occurring in this age group.

PATHOLOGY

We have Dorevitch Pathology located onsite. All pathology requires a request form from a GP. No appointment is required to see the pathology nurse. Patients are seen in the order of arrival.

FREE HEARING TESTS

Free hearing tests are available with our audiologist. You’ll be set up in a quiet screening room for your hearing test. You'll be played a series of sounds through a pair of headphones at four different frequencies. You simply have to press a button or raise your hand each time you hear a sound. Hearing tests are BULK BILLED.

SKIN CANCER CHECKS

A skin check is non-invasive, quick, and is the best way to ensure early detection of skin cancer. The sooner a skin cancer is identified and treated, the better the prognosis. Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. For that reason, it is extremely important to be vigilant about your skin and to have regular check-ups. It is recommended that you have your skin checked once a year. We have highly experienced Skin Cancer Doctors that regularly conduct full-body mole checks to identify any potential skin cancers. During your appointment, your doctor will undertake a full-body skin examination. Moles and suspicious skin lesions will be checked and photographed and your doctor will then provide their professional assessment.
